In our classes, I teach aspects of Power Vinyasa and Restorative Prana Yoga. Vinyasa stands for placing in a special way - a sequential movement of postures (asanas) which are interlinked into a continuous flow.
Every single posture is flowing into the next one with a steady progression from simpler forms to more complex and deeper asanas.
Power Vinyasa Yoga is a "hot", fast-paced practice designed to detox the body, build the core strength, strengthen the upper and lower body and bring stability and grounding into one's life. All sequences are creatively put together so that every class is a slow progression towards a more challenging practice.
Restorative Prana Yoga is a gentle, "cool" practice. In yoga philosophy, Prana is believed to be life-sustaining energy, a force running through energy channels in the body. It is prana flowing through everyone and everything. During Prana Yoga classes we will progress along a slow cooling sequence of asanas. There will be a deeper concentration on breath-movement synchronization and postural alignment. By slowing down the brain wave frequency we will be able to look inside and inquire what causes a particular recent problem in the body or in one's life.
